Curb Appeal - Make sure you give your home a breathtaking first impression. The best way to do this is to make sure it looks beautiful on the outside.
- Make sure your lawn is freshly mowed.
- Pull weeds, water the lawn and flowers.
- Fix minor outdoor blunders such as, cracks in the foundation, loose shingles, and peeling paint.
- Wash windows inside and out.
- Make sure the leaves are raked in the fall, the snow is shoveled in the winter, and in shrubs are nicely trimmed in the summer.
The Inside - Unclutter all rooms, hallways, and even closets.
- Wipe down dirty walls and even touch up the trim with paint if it needs it.
- Be sure to clean all ceilings, fans, and light fixtures.
- Check the electrical systems, heating, cooling and pluming.
- Make sure there are no dripping faucets.

- Before you have someone come into your home provide your home with a nice scent. Whether it is an air freshner or fresh baked cookies it will make your potential buyer feel more at home.
- Make sure other pet odors are covered up before showing your home.
- Home buyers also look for storage space as well as living space, so make sure that the attics and basements are cleaned out.
- A garage sale is also a good idea to clean out some of your unnecessary belongings before you sell your home. If you don't have time for a garage sale you can always drop off unwanted items at a thrift store or another place provided by your community.
What To Keep Out - If possible, arrange for pets and children to be somewhere other then inside your home when somoene is coming to look at it.
- Make sure there are not alot of people present in your home when the view comes to look at it. If there are it make the potential buyer feel rushed and uncomfortable.
