Answers to important questions
  •  I am a certified full member of ASHI. I have met rigorous professional and technical requirements I have successfully completed examinations and our reports are reviewed to assure that they meet or exceed ASHI’s standards of practice and code of ethics. These standards are the definitive and most widely accepted guidelines in North America. A full member has met this criteria, a candidate member has only paid his/her dues.   Central Illinois Inspection Corp. and Brad Kershner are both licensed by the State of Illinois. Some companies use several inspectors, but not all are licensed.
  • We are a full time inspection company, that’s al we do. ASHI standards do not allow an inspector to perform repairs. This guarantees you an honest and unbiased report of actual defects. We will not gain financially by finding problems that don’t exist.

  • It’s a number game! I have inspected over two thousand homes. We have seen countless defects, their cause and effects. Experience is very important!

  • We do not affiliate ourselves with any contractors. I feel this is a conflict of interest. If I recommend contractors, you can be assured it is based of their quality work not because they help me advertise or promote my company.

  • We use state of the art testing and reporting equipment to provide you with the best home inspection in the business! Our report is computer generated “on-site”, receiving the report the same day reduces the “wait and worry” aspect of the home inspection process.

  • Our report includes digital photos and line drawings for clarity.

  • The narratives are color coded to help you prioritize our findings. These features make our report easy to read and comprehend.

  • Central Illinois Inspection Corp. offers a money back guarantee; if you are dissatisfied with the quality of the inspection we will refund the full amount of the inspection fee.

  • I typically receive 60 to 80 hours of continuing education per year. The State of Illinois requires 6 hours of continuing education per year and ASHI requires 20 hours per year. As you can see expanding my knowledge of the structure and components of a home is a high priority. This provides me with the essential tools to offer you the best home inspection available.
